Job Title: Purchase Manager

Location: Amritsar, Punjab

Job Summary

The Purchase Manager will manage sourcing, purchasing, and vendor coordination to ensure timely availability of materials at competitive pricing for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables
  • Identify suppliers and negotiate prices and contracts
  • Compare quotations and prepare purchase orders
  • Maintain vendor database and build strong supplier relationships
  • Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts teams
  • Monitor inventory and avoid stock shortages
  • Verify invoices and manage payment follow-ups
  • Maintain purchase records and reports
  • Visit vendors/markets when required for sourcing and negotiations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Supply Chain/Management or related field
  • 3+ years of purchase/procurement experience
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of MS Excel/ERP systems
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Comfortable with field visits and supplier meetings
