PURPOSE:
To negotiate and purchase materials, supplies, equipment and services used by our company in an efficient and economic manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares, analyzes, and negotiates with suppliers for efficient delivery of products and services; tracks and develops reports to identify progress of cost saving initiatives and process efficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with orders, delivery dates and service needs.
- Reviews and processes purchase requisitions, purchase order adjustments; develops and assists with implementation of processes for efficiency improvements; provides customer service and departmental support.
- Analyzes, identifies, and communicates information regarding purchase orders utilizing out-of-network vendors; identifies, researches, and resolves problems relating to purchasing issues.
- Develops departmental communications; maintains and updates files, and databases; contributes to and supports departmental initiatives.
- Respond to customer, outside sales and inside sales staff withal requests and questions.
- Stay updated on current market prices and communicate changes with both outside sales and inside sales
- Track daily requests for quotes to ensure prompt response to customers and prospects. Responsible for timely follow-up from inquiry to order.
- Develop and demonstrate individual product knowledge and computer navigation skills to serve as an effective resource for both customers and outside sales staff.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Management of non-conforming & coordination of returns with suppliers.
