Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile application testing and automation frameworks, specifically using Appium. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of both manual and automated testing practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications across platforms (iOS and Android).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts for mobile applications using Appium (JavaScript)
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts for web applications using Cypress/Playwright (JavaScript)
• Develop and execute automated test suites as part of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test plans
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and during app updates/releases
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging tools in testing, test automation and mobile apps testing
• Communicate updates both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders timely and with clarity
• Document test strategies, test plans, test cases, and results for both manual and automated tests
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field
• 2-3 years of experience
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, test design techniques, and software QA methodologies
• Experience working with iOS and Android platforms and using emulators, simulators, and real devices
• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java)
• Familiarity with tools like TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, or similar
• Experience with REST API testing, using tools like Postman or RestAssured is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes and ceremonies
