Quality Control Officer

Our facility is ISO 22000 and HACCP certified, and we distribute through major retail chains, e-commerce platforms, and export channels. We are in an exciting phase of international expansion and are looking for a driven professional to join our sales team.

Role Overview

A Quality Control (QC) Officer is responsible for ensuring that all food products are produced according to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The QC officer monitors raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP.

Key Responsibilities Follow-Up

  • Raw Material Inspection
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Verify recipe formulation and ingredient measurements.
  • Check temperature, baking time, and equipment parameters.
  • Ensure operators follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify supplier COA (Certificate of Analysis).
  • Check expiry dates, storage conditions, and packaging integrity.
  • Approve or reject materials according to specifications.
  • Product Quality Testing
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory tests such as:
  • Weight check
  • Texture and appearance
  • Moisture content
  • Taste and smell
  • Take samples for microbiological testing when required.
  • Inspect personal hygiene of staff.
  • Check cleanliness of production areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Identify defective or non-compliant products.
  • Stop production if serious quality issues occur.
  • Report issues to QA manager or production supervisor.
  • Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor storage temperature and humidity.
  • Check warehouse hygiene and pest control.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Support regulatory inspections.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Fluent in english
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing / Industrial field
  • Bachelor in Food Science / Food Technology
  • Minimum 2 years QC experience in bakery or food production
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000
  • Perform quality checks, microbiological tests, audits, hygiene monitoring
