Quantity Surveyor cum Interior Designer -– Furniture Manufacturing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor cum Interior Designer with expertise in furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out, who can also take on the role of Supervisor Carpenter. This unique role requires managing design, estimation, and project costing while also leading a carpentry team to ensure high-quality furniture production, timely delivery, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs for interior and furniture projects.
• Read, interpret, and develop technical drawings, layouts, and design specifications.
• Supervise carpenters in furniture construction, joinery, and assembly.
• Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure projects are completed on time.
• Implement strict quality control measures for design and production.
• Train, guide, and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
• Maintain safety standards, proper equipment use, and workshop organization.
• Coordinate procurement, materials, and inventory management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying / Interior Design (preferred).
• Minimum 4-5 years of carpentry/furniture experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking, joinery, and interior fit-out processes.
• Proven experience in estimation, costing, and project coordination.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings and design documentation.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD or similar).
