Quantity Surveyor - Furniture

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with furniture experience in Commercial and contract furniture for our Furniture Department.

Job Responsibilities:

- Work with Design team to develop furniture solutions within given time schedule.

- Assess project scope, including dimensions materials and design specifications to determine the quantity and types of furniture required

- Calculate costs for furniture pieces, considering factors such as material, labour, transportation, installation and overhead expenses.

- Ensure that estimates align with clients budgetary limits and cost expectations, providing alternatives or adjustments as necessary,

- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and services, negotiating favorable terms when possible.

- Prepare detailed estimates and proposals, including itemized breakdowns of costs and timelines to present to clients and stakeholders.

- Assist project managers and designers in selecting appropriate furniture options that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

- Analyzing the contract documents, preparation of BOQ’s and drawings.

- Prepare visual presentations like drawings, renderings and material sample boards.

- Preparation of tender/ bid, documentation, project costing, joinery and fit out costing, quantitative and qualitative estimation.

- Preparation of cost estimates for budgeting study.

- Client interfacing and participate in client presentations.

- Assist in the process of ordering materials from local or overseas vendors.

- Market enquiries, cost reviewing and analysis

- Filing and maintaining of furniture/material catalogues and finish samples.

- Any other work that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

- Previous experience of 2-4 years in Commercial Furniture in the UAE/Middle East is a must.

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details, to deliver high quality work within the given timeline.

- Proficient in MS Office, auto cad , furniture specifications and sound knowledge of contract furniture business.

- Valid UAE driving license preferred.

• Commercial / Contract furniture experience of minimum 2 years (mandatory).
