Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (Steel Structure) to join our team for structural steel fabrication and installation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, measurement, valuation, contract administration, and commercial management of projects while ensuring compliance with client requirements and ADNOC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Prepare quantity take-offs for structural steel fabrication, erection, and associated works.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare cost estimates, variations, claims, and progress valuations.
- Verify subcontractor and supplier invoices, measurements, and payment applications.
- Track project quantities and prepare monthly cost reports and commercial updates.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluations, and cost analysis.
- Evaluate change orders and variation requests and prepare supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and clients regarding commercial matters.
- Maintain records of quantities, measurements, contracts, and project correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC requirements, contractual obligations, and company procedures.
- Support project closeout activities, including final account preparation and settlement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication & Installation Industry.
- ADNOC-approved candidates and/or candidates with ADNOC project experience will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, cost estimation, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and quantity surveying software.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on ADNOC projects and EPC contracts.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard contract conditions.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection, welding, and coating activities.
