Job Description
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director for Marketing and Events, the Recruitment Marketing Coordinator is responsible for contributing to, executing and tracking communications to select segmented student populations, such as transfer students, students at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, and nontraditional students. The Recruitment Marketing Coordinator manages day-to-day logistics tied to Undergraduate Admissions marketing content, photography, digital communication tools, and event support. This role coordinates marketing operations and provides hands-on support for various campaigns, communications, and events.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the development of strategies to integrate social media and other web efforts into the broader communication plan for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Draft, create and execute within Slate CRM dynamic, personalized student recruitment communication campaigns for targeted populations that complement the broader Undergraduate Admissions marketing plan.
  • Create and execute dynamic communication campaigns within third-party lead generation products such as College Board and CollegeVine.
  • Monitors communication campaigns for effectiveness throughout the life of the campaign.
  • Assist in executing Admissions events and programs, including building registration forms, preparing digital and print invitations, submitting marketing requests, and supporting day-of event needs.
  • Manage marketing and creative requests submitted to University Communications and Marketing, including print, digital, and photography needs; track progress and ensure deliverables meet deadlines.
  • Maintain and review admissions web content, collaborating with the Assistant Director on updates and improvements.
  • Manage Slate text inbox by responding to student messages, ensuring timely replies, escalating when needed, and maintaining a consistent tone.
  • Support Undergraduate Admissions’ presence on social media by collecting content, preparing drafts, and assisting with scheduling and engagement tracking.
  • Take meeting notes and distribute follow-up action items to ensure cross-team alignment and accountability.
  • Maintain and update internal and external marketing profiles (e.g., college search sites, institutional directories, partner platforms) to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Provide administrative support for marketing efforts, including basic reporting, proofreading, and filing project requests.
  • Support internal documentation and process improvements for marketing workflows, asset storage, and cross-department communication.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director and other team members on larger campaigns and recruitment initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with content creation and editing tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) and/or CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
PREFERRED:
  • Experience working in higher education, especially in admissions, student services, or community outreach.
  • Experience with social media management or content scheduling tools.
  • Detail-oriented and creative individual with strong organizational skills, a service mindset, and a passion for student recruitment and storytelling.
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking.
  • Comfort with photography planning and basic photo editing.
  • Fluency in a language other than English.

Salary Range
$55,142.18-$60,654.29 Annual
