- Oversee the importation, clearance, and distribution of fertilizers across the Ivory Coast and its neighboring countries, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Oversee the distribution of fertilizers to various regions, ensuring optimal inventory levels and timely delivery
- Collaborate with logistics teams to resolve any supply chain issues and reduce delays in product delivery.
- Coordinate with third-party job work entities for the production of NPK blended fertilizers tailored to customer specifications.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to promote and increase the sale of fertilizers across key markets in the Ivory Coast and its neighboring countries.
- Oversee the packaging of non-blended fertilizers, ensuring products are packed according to customer specifications, local regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify fertilizer trends, competitor activities, and customer demands in West Africa.
- Ensure all products, whether blended or non-blended, meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for quality, safety, and environmental impact.
- Train and support sales teams, distributors, and farmers on the effective use of fertilizers and the advantages of customized NPK blends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in fertilizer sales, clearing, and working with third-party entities for blending and packaging in West Africa.
- Strong technical understanding of fertilizers, including NPK blends, their applications in agriculture, and the importance of soil heal
- In-depth knowledge of the logistics and regulatory landscape of West Africa, including customs clearance, duties, taxes, importation processes, and local agricultural regulations.
- Proven ability to manage complex supply chains, sales strategies, and customer relationships.
- Experience in developing sales strategies and negotiating large contracts with distributors, tenders, government entities, co-ops, and large-scale farms.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English (knowledge of French or local West African languages is highly advantageous).
- Willingness to travel frequently across the region
