Position Overview
Soni Jerez is seeking a high-caliber Retail Operations Director to lead our regional expansion and operational strategy from our Commercial Complex hub in Al Wakrah. As we solidify our presence in Qatar’s rapidly growing retail sector, we need a visionary leader who can balance the art of premium customer experience with the science of high-efficiency supply chain management.
In this role, you will be the primary architect of our store operations, responsible for driving profitability across multiple touchpoints while ensuring that the Soni Jerez brand remains synonymous with authenticity and excellence.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Roadmap: Develop and execute a 3-year retail operations strategy focused on market penetration in Al Wakrah and the wider Doha region.
- P&L Management: Total oversight of regional budgets, utilizing advanced Excel automation (XLOOKUP, Macros) to monitor high-volume sales data, shrink rates, and labor costs.
- Store Excellence: Establish and enforce rigorous SOPs for visual merchandising, inventory accuracy, and customer service standards across all outlets.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Coordinate with logistics and warehouse departments to ensure seamless stock flow and optimized inventory turnover.
- Systems Integration: Lead the deployment and optimization of retail tech stacks, including POS systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for real-time inventory tracking.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performance management team, fostering a "work-hard, play-hard" culture that values professional results and personal growth.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison between the Al Wakrah Commercial Complex office and international brand partners.
- Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to Qatar’s commercial laws, labor regulations, and health and safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years in retail operations, with at least 6 years in a directorial or senior regional management capacity within the GCC.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in retail ERPs and data consolidation tools; a strong background in BPO-style process optimization is a plus.
- Language: Professional fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, or Tagalog is a significant advantage for managing a diverse workforce.
- Analytical Skills: A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate complex KPIs into actionable store-level strategies.
