Position Summary

The RHS (Residential & Hospitality Services) Payroll Office Supervisor directly supervises the first level operations of RHS Payroll, overseeing the processing of 5,500 biweekly hourly employees and assisting with salary and Clerical Technical pay. This position is responsible for supervising 3 level 10 CT payroll leads and 3 level 8 CT payroll assistants on a daily basis, as well as performing their evaluations and assisting with their continued development. They are also responsible on a daily basis for ensuring that all HR actions in the EBS work-flow are approved correctly and in a timely manner. This position also assists with the planning and execution of projects to move RHS payroll and the division forward in process and system improvements.

• Oversees first level daily operational duties of RHS Payroll.

• Supervision of Office Coordinator l's, Accounting Clerk ll's, Unit Payroll Assistants, and student employees.

• Educates divisional staff on timekeeping software modules, including, but not limited to, daily payroll review, scheduler, overtime equalization and labor distribution reconciliation.

• Monitors processes, identifies and resolves errors with enhanced program loads, including UltraTime Scheduler, Overtime Equalization and Tip Declaration for the RHS Division.

• Provides independent diagnostic support and problem resolution to units on a wide range of payroll-related questions.

• Develops, updates, and assists with implementation of RHS Payroll projects.

Salary Range- $55,000-$65,000

Remote Work: Intended schedule is 3 days in-office and 2 days remote per week, with the possibility of up to the first six (6) months in the role fully in-office.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational or business school with coursework in office management and business; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office management, budget preparation, financial and administrative record-keeping and secretarial skills; experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, and/or web page design or presentation software; or in performing responsibilities related to the operational activities of the employing unit; requires one to three years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
