Safety Officer

We are seeking an experienced and certified Safety Officer with expertise in high-rise building construction. The candidate will ensure compliance with construction safety standards, enforce protocols, and maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting. Experience with Project Management Consultancies (PMC) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safety competency evaluations for all contractor personnel as per client guidelines.
• Ensure 100% safety induction/re-induction for workforce and enforce strict access control.
• Perform pre-activity safety inspections and issue work permit safety clearances.
• Monitor compliance for high-risk activities, including:
• Height work, scaffolding, excavation, lifting operations
• Crane operations, construction vehicles, power tools, gas cylinders
• Confined space entry, electrical safety, traffic management, concrete work
• Ensure proper use of PPE, maintain PPE stock, and document inspections.
• Conduct site safety inspections, Gemba walks, and enforce CAPA for violations.
• Investigate incidents (near misses, injuries, fires, dangerous occurrences) and prepare reports.
• Maintain detailed safety documentation, including HIRA, JSA, risk assessments, method statements, work permits, and inspection records.
• Conduct toolbox talks (TBTs), classroom safety training, drills, and emergency preparedness exercises.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as BOCW and other applicable safety laws.
• Verify and maintain valid third-party inspection certificates for equipment, scaffolding, belts, and safety nets.
• Oversee housekeeping and fire prevention measures at the site.
• Exercise stop-work authority in case of unsafe conditions or adverse weather.

Reporting & Communication

• Submit weekly safety reports including safety metrics (safe man-hours, safety index scores) to project stakeholders.
• Ensure zero deviation in safety documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate with Project Head and Client Safety Teams on incident response and compliance.

Eligibility Criteria

• 6–8 years of construction safety experience, preferably in high-rise projects.
• Certified in ADIS / NEBOSH / IOSH (mandatory).
• Experience with PMC firms is advantageous.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualification: Any Graduate with recognized Safety Certification (ADIS / NEBOSH / IOSH)

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
