Sales Engineer

Job Title: Sales Engineer – Fire Department

Department: Fire Protection / Fire Safety Systems
Reports To: DIVISION HEAD

Job Purpose:

To promote, present, and sell fire protection products and services (such as fire alarms, sprinklers, suppression systems, extinguishers, and maintenance contracts) to clients across various sectors. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, preparing technical/commercial proposals, and achieving sales targets while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the fire protection industry.
  • Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to determine client requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Promote fire safety systems and services to consultants, contractors, facility managers, and end users.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and government authorities to ensure compliance with civil defense and other local regulations.
  • Provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales stages, including product demonstrations and client presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales in line with company policies and profit margins.
  • Work closely with design, estimation, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of awarded projects.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay updated on the latest fire protection products, standards, and civil defense regulations.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5 years of sales experience in fire protection/firefighting industry (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection systems (fire alarms, suppression, sprinklers, extinguishers).
  • Familiarity with UAE Civil Defense regulations and approval processes (or relevant local authority).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business development and customer relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
