Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Sales Engineer – ELV / Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting Services to drive sales for service contracts, maintenance, testing & commissioning, and retrofit projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge along with excellent commercial and client management skills to support business growth and build long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for ELV / Fire Alarm, and Fire Fighting System service contracts (AMC), projects, and retrofit works.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, BOQs, and cost estimates in coordination with the engineering and operations teams.
- Conduct site surveys, assess system conditions, and recommend suitable solutions in compliance with NFPA standards, QCDD regulations, and local authority requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and main contractors during the pre-sales and post-award stages, ensuring smooth project handover.
- Participate in tender preparation, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming project opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and submit periodic sales activity and performance reports.
- Support the handover process to execution teams and ensure clarity of project scope and deliverables.
- Ensure Technical and commercial compliance of contracts and secure timely payments from clients, coordinating with finance and project teams for invoicing and payment follow-up.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales of ELV / Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting systems in Qatar.
- Proven experience in AMC sales, projects and retrofits.
- Proficient in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and proposal preparation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP / CRM systems will be an advantage.
- Valid Qatar Driving License is mandatory.
- UPDA / QCDD certification will be an added advantage.
- Must possess a valid QID with NOC for transfer.
Strong knowledge of:
- ELV Systems
- Fire Alarm Systems (Addressable / Conventional)
- Fire Fighting Systems (Sprinkler, Hydrant, FM-200, AEROSOL, NOVEC, Foam, Pumps, etc.)
- NFPA standards, QCD / Civil Defense regulations
