Estimation Engineer

Job Summary:

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for HVAC/MEP projects. This role involves understanding HVAC projects, analyzing project documents, performing quantity take-offs, and collaborating with various teams to support the bidding and project execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimate Preparation

· Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC/ MEP systems, including equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, controls, and accessories.

· Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

· Prepare tender documents as per specifications and submit tenders on time.

· Revise tender documents and prepare cost sheets.

Tendering & Bidding Support

· Analyze tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications to provide accurate cost data for competitive proposals.

· Review tender documents.

· Raise technical/commercial queries.

· Float inquiries and review offers, noting variations.

· Assist in negotiation meetings with clients.

Cost Analysis Input

· Support the review and evaluation of supplier/vendor quotations by providing detailed cost analysis and identifying discrepancies.

Technical Evaluation Assistance

· Study HVAC/ MEP drawings, layouts, and designs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities or risks.

· Demonstrate expertise in VRV, chilled water, and precision air-conditioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Collaborate with design engineers, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment in technical and commercial aspects, providing accurate and timely information.

· Hand over project details (cost sheets, tender documents, vendor offers) to relevant stakeholders.

Documentation & Data Entry

· Prepare and maintain organized records of cost estimates, quotations, supplier data, and technical submittals, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

· Prepare NT (Note to file).

Value Engineering Contribution

· Contribute to value engineering efforts by providing cost comparisons and analysis of alternative solutions.

Site Visits & Client Interaction

· Conduct site inspections to gather information for the estimation process.

· Attend client meetings for upcoming HVAC projects.

Reporting

· Prepare enquiry funnel reports (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly).

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

· 2-3 years of HVAC/MEP cost estimation experience.

· Strong understanding of HVAC/MEP systems.

· Proficiency in reading tender documents and BOQs.

· Experience in preparing cost estimates.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
