Salon Floor Manager – Shafaq N Kami (Female)

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to lead our team and oversee daily salon operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, with a comprehensive understanding of retail and service management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent client experiences, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the salon. The Salon Manager will play a key role in driving sales, managing inventory, and fostering a positive work environment to promote growth and success.

Duties

• Lead and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists, estheticians, and support personnel
• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling shifts and managing customer appointments
• Implement employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team performance
• Manage payroll, bookkeeping, inventory control, and purchasing activities
• Handle customer service inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure client satisfaction
• Conduct interviewing and recruiting efforts to attract talented team members
• Monitor retail sales, merchandising, pricing strategies, and store management procedures
• Maintain POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering responsibilities
• Develop marketing initiatives to promote salon services and retail products
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
• Manage budgeting processes and assist in financial planning for the salon

Experience

• Proven management experience in a retail or service environment; previous assistant manager or supervisory roles preferred
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and team management
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, and POS systems
• Knowledge of retail math, sales management, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on training & development and organizational skills
• Background in marketing or promotional activities is advantageous
• Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and efficiently
• Prior experience in retail sales or store management will be highly beneficial
