Kingfisher Air Services is a DHL feeder cargo carrier throughout the Caribbean Islands and South America for more than 30 years. We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to support the Finance Department in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Trinidad &amp; Tobago.We are looking for an ambitious Accounts Payable Coordinator to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for working with invoices, interacting with other departments and vendors.<ul><li>Process 3-way P.O. matching invoices, expense (non-PO) invoices and debit/credit memos</li><li>Prioritize weekly payment batches to take full advantage of terms and discounts.</li><li>Maintain good relationships with Buyers, Approvers and Vendors, responding timely to inquiries.</li><li>Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.</li><li>Assist in month end closing, including general ledger account reconciliations.</li><li>Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.</li><li>Responsible for the accurate maintenance and filing of all accounts payable documents.</li><li>Any other task assigned by management.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>2 years of experience in accounts payable</li><li>Fully Bilingual</li><li>Excellent organizing abilities and great attention to details</li><li>Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen</li><li>Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices</li><li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (Sage).</li><li>BS/BC in accounting, finance, or relevant field'</li></ul>Typical end time:<ul><li>5PM</li></ul>Typical start time:<ul><li>8AM</li></ul>Work Remotely<ul><li>No</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Accounts Payable: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
