 he Welding Inspector is responsible for inspecting and monitoring welding and associated fabrication activities in the offshore fabrication yard to ensure compliance with approved drawings, welding procedures, project specifications, and international codes and standards. The role ensures weld quality, safety, and readiness for client and third?party inspections.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 Welding Inspection &amp; Surveillance
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Inspect welding activities including fit?up, root pass, intermediate runs, and final welds for offshore structures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify compliance with approved WPS, ITP, method statements, and project specifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure correct welding parameters, pre?heat, inter?pass temperature, and welding sequence are followed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor joint preparation, alignment, cleanliness, and backing arrangements prior to welding.
 </li>

 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, recovery programmes, and progress updates.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor project progress against approved schedules, identifying delays, risks, and critical path activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and programme analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
 </li>
 <li>
 Carry out critical path and earned value analysis where required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with resource planning, forecasting, and productivity monitoring.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure project planning complies with contractual requirements and project milestones.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills &amp; Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Planning Engineer, with significant exposure to MEP construction projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
 </li>
 <li>
 Sound understanding of project planning principles, scheduling techniques, and project controls.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent knowledge of critical path methodology (CPM), resource loading, and programme reporting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience preparing baseline programmes, revised programmes, and progress reporting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to analyse complex project data and provide practical planning solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
 </li>
 <li>
 GCC or Middle East experience is advantageous but not essential.
 </li>
