PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
Proficiency in handling every stage of a litigation in state and federal courts and various ADR forums including conducting pre-filing fact investigations drafting pleadings, motions, effective discovery requests and targeted discovery responses.</li><li>
Strong research and writing skills are crucial as is knowledge of state and federal procedures.</li><li>
Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned cases, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court proceedings.</li><li>
Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.</li><li>
Additional responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul> 
SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<ul><li>

Strong critical thinking, analytical, writing and communication skills.</li><li>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
4 &ndash; 7 years of law firm experience in a Litigation Group.</li><li>
Strong academic credentials and membership in the New York Bar.</li><li>
Demonstrated interest (and, ideally, some expertise) in areas relevant to our practice areas, such as copyright, trademark, professional responsibility, and commercial law issues (e.g. breach of contract, negligence, and fraud).</li></ul>
