We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a : Site Lifting Specialist (SLS)
Job Purpose:<ul><li>Assess, analyse, plan and adjust lifting operations on site in line with NOC standards</li><li>Advise Contractor&rsquo;s objectives and expectations for HSE, accountability and performance of Lifting Activity</li><li>Maintain systematic and methodological approach to Lifting Operations and assist Company CPLO</li></ul>
by establishing reliable system of documentation, processes and personnel competency assurance;<ul><li>Ensure flawless operation of Lifting and continuous improvement during offshore installation campaign.</li></ul>
Your main duties will be to: -<ul><li>Act as technical advisor of handling and lifting service for the topsides hook-up and installation Campaign</li><li>Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring NOC HSE policy and international standard</li><li>Supervise as Client Lifting Representative the handling and lifting operations</li><li>Insures the promotion/implementation of Company Lifting &amp; Handling procedures and safety culture on site</li><li>Participates in the definitions of the Company Lifting &amp; Handling procedures and participates in the internal audits on behalf of CPLO</li><li>Inspect the Main Installation vessel and completion prior mobilization to site and makes sure that ensure about the compliance of lifting equipment, rigging and general lifting organization with COMPANY Standards. Attend the offshore vessel crane audits/inspection as required</li><li>Make sure at fabrication yard that the topsides riggings are properly installed and in good condition</li><li>Provide expertise in daily handling &amp; lifting activities including: Categorization of lifts</li><li>Risk assessment and hazard identification</li><li>Assist Company CPLO in technical review of lifting operations</li><li>Selection of equipment for lifting operations</li><li>Attendance at lifting toolbox talks</li><li>Post-job debriefs</li><li>Assessment of completed jobs</li><li>Review of generic lift plans</li><li>Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring NOC HSE police and international standard, review engineering calculation for complex and complicated lifts</li><li>Review complicated and complex lift plan and attend the lifts</li><li>Perform condition check and fitness for purpose on lifting appliances, CCUs, and evaluate their utilization on site</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Your profile</h3>
Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil &amp; gas processing or petrochemical plants.<ul><li>Minimum 10 years in the lifting &amp; handling industry at supervisory level</li><li>Offshore jacket / topside installation experience preferred</li><li>Technical Engineer and / or Industry related qualifications such as OPITO / LEEA / EAL / CPA etc.</li><li>Broad and extensive knowledge in handling &amp; lifting appliance &amp; operations</li><li>Working to International standards such as: BS, LOLER, etc.!</li><li>Experienced in Oil &amp; Gas Industry</li><li>Worked in onshore &amp; offshore operations</li><li>Have working profile such as: Rigger * Rigger Foreman * Rigging Supervisor * Lifting Supervisor * Lifting Superintendent</li><li>Risk assessment in relation to health, safety &amp; environment</li><li>Supervision of critical and heavy lifts</li><li>Planning of critical and non-critical lifts</li><li>Experience in training and coaching is preferred</li><li>H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.</li></ul>
You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
