Job Summary
The AFCAP Large Areas Maintenance Shelter Specialist is responsible for setup, maintenance, and the dismantling of large area maintenance shelters.
Roles and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Performs inspection, installation, operation, maintenance, repairs, and disposal of LAMS/BEAR structures and related systems.</li><li>
Read, comprehend, plan, and execute instructions and procedures outlined in manufacturers&rsquo; operation and maintenance manuals.</li><li>
 Leads and supervises other personnel as required. Schedules and coordinates equipment, materials, and personnel required for shelter work activities.</li><li>
Erect, maintain, and dismantle large area maintenance shelters ensuring they are operational and meet safety standards.</li><li>
Oversee the inventory, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment used within the shelters.</li><li>
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for shelter-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.</li><li>
Ensure all activities within the shelter comply with safety regulations and protocols to protect personnel and equipment.</li><li>
