Job Purpose:To ensure safe, effective, and timely reprocessing of ophthalmic surgical instruments, maintaining the highest standards of sterilization to prevent postoperative infections, especially endophthalmitis.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise all CSSD activities related to ophthalmic instruments including cleaning, inspection, packaging, sterilization, and distribution</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention protocols specific to eye care procedures</li><li>Handle delicate microsurgical instruments with extreme care</li><li>Ensure proper cleaning using approved enzymatic detergents suitable for ophthalmic instruments</li><li>Inspect instruments under magnification for cleanliness, damage, or residue.</li><li>Monitor and document sterilization cycles</li><li>Perform routine biological, chemical, and mechanical monitoring of sterilizers</li><li>Maintain strict segregation of clean and dirty areas to avoid cross-contamination</li><li>Coordinate closely with Operation Theater (OT) staff for surgical lists and urgent requirements</li><li>Train CSSD staff on handling fine ophthalmic instruments and updated sterilization protocols</li><li>Report and manage sterilization failures, instrument damage, or infection control breaches</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Diploma or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Medical Technology / CSSD / Allied Health Sciences</li><li>Specialized training or certification in CSSD (preferred)</li><li>3&ndash;5 years of CSSD experience, preferably in an ophthalmology setup</li><li>Experience with handling microsurgical instruments</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of ophthalmic instrument reprocessing</li><li>Strong attention to detail (critical for small, delicate instruments)</li><li>Leadership and team supervision skills</li><li>Good coordination with OT teams</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Hospital / Eye care facility</li><li>High responsibility role due to infection risk in eye surgeries</li><li>Requires strict adherence to PPE and aseptic protocols</li></ul>How to Apply:Send resume to hr@hashmanis.com.pk with the subject line &quot;CSSD Sr. Technician&quot;.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Are you currently working?</li><li>Kindly mention your current salary:</li></ul>Work Location: In person
