Your day-to-day:

An Assistant Banqueting Manager is responsible for banquets and events in the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while optimising sales, evaluating performance, and ensuring staffing levels meet demand. 
 
What will I be doing?
As an Assistant Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible for managing all banquets and events in the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Assistant Banqueting Manager will also be required to optimise sales and ensure staffing levels meet demand. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
<ul><li>Manage &amp; support all Banquets/Events</li>
<li>Lead in the absence of the Banqueting Manager</li>
<li>Maintain exceptional levels of customer service</li>
<li>Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement</li>
<li>Propose ideas to build the range and quality of Conference and Banquet</li>
<li>Optimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areas for action</li>
<li>Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers</li>
<li>Ensure staffing levels meet business demands</li>
<li>Ensure training is carried out on an ongoing basis</li>
<li>Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated</li>
<li>Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures</li>
<li>Recruit, manage, train and develop the Banquet team</li>
<li>Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation</li>

<li>Exceptional leadership skills</li>
<li>Conference and Banquet Operations experience in a Supervisory or Assistant position in hotel/Events Centre</li>
</ul>It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
<ul><li>Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent</li>
<li>Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service</li> 
</ul>

An Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Team through analysis and reporting of results and trends, recommends sales approaches to expand and add business, and develops the skills and culture of the Sales Team Members. 
 
 
What will I be doing? 
As Assistant Sales Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with the Sales Team to analyse market trends, report results and develop a Sales Team to execute the selling strategy and achieve business objectives. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:<ul>
<li>Analyse local market trends and develop new business leads</li>
<li>Maximise all Revenue opportunities</li>
<li>Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy</li>
<li>Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market</li>
<li>Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients</li>
<li>Ensure the Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards and pro-active selling</li>
<li>Develop and implement creative local marketing channels including social media sites</li>
<li>Work within current business strategies and recognise potential opportunities</li>
<li>Communicate with all departments as required within each hotel</li>
<li>Attend Sales events when required</li>
<li>Report on a weekly/monthly basis appointments, calls made, and list of business leads</li>
<li>Answer customer queries in a timely and suitable manner</li></ul>
