 Monitor compliance with all Kuwait legislative requirements including the dissemination of information to PMC and EPC managers and employees regarding amendments/ additions to requirements as they come into effect.

 Review EPC contractor Safety Management System and advise of required changes. Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies and EPC contractor to foster the professional image of WorleyParsons.

Lead Remediation Specialist (Principal Environmental Scientist)

Role Purpose
You will lead civil and structural engineering delivery to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective outcomes. You will be responsible for maintaining structural design integrity while guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects successfully across their lifecycle.
 
This role requires proven experience in the Middle East and a strong background in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environments.
What You Will Do
<ul><li>Supervise civil/structural engineers.
</li><li>Ensure the integrity of civil/structural design within the defined scope and maintain applicable standards.
</li><li>Identify and implement civil/structural software required for the effective functioning of the civil/structural team.
</li><li>Manage civil/structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.
</li><li>Provide technical supervision to assigned civil/structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their responsibilities.
</li><li>Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance requirements and relevant guidelines applicable to the business unit.
</li><li>Promote safe working practices and ensure adherence to OH&amp;S procedures.
</li><li>Monitor and achieve cost and budget KPIs for design activities
</li><li>Ensure the level of design is appropriate to the complexity of construction, maintaining a balance between design cost and implementation cost.
</li><li>Ensure feedback from supervisors or superintendents confirms that constructability requirements are adequately addressed and that work packs contain sufficient and relevant detail.
</li><li>Allocate design and drafting tasks to team members, ensuring work is carried out within competency levels and with appropriate supervision.
</li><li>Act as Design Master Controller (DMC), managing civil/structural design documentation and drawings for the assigned asset in accordance with Worley procedures.
</li><li>Conduct site investigations and prepare reports.
</li></ul>What You Will Bring
Experience &amp; Capability
<ul><li>Extensive experience in civil and civil/structural engineering within oil &amp; gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects.
</li><li>Demonstrated experience working in the Middle East project environment.
</li><li>Strong background in PMC roles, including managing client-side expectations and multi-contractor interfaces.
</li><li>Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
</li><li>Strong understanding of design, drafting, and engineering processes across 2D and 3D environments.
</li><li>Experience managing design budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
</li><li>Hands-on experience with industry-standard civil/structural engineering and design software.
</li></ul>Qualifications
<ul><li>Full-time Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
</li><li>Atleast 15 years of total experience post graduate studies.
</li><li>Atleast 10 years in the oil &amp; gas / petrochemical / refinery industry.
</li><li>Atleast last 5 years in a similar leadership or specialist role.
</li><li>Previous experience working with a contractor or in a comparable delivery model.
