As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to advance GFI's mission by conducting research on timely regulatory and legislative issues facing the alternative protein industry and producing high-quality research memoranda, bill analyses, and reports that will support the Policy and Government Relations team's work. The <b>Legal Fellow</b> will be responsible for:</p>

<li>Conducting legal and policy research related to the regulation of alternative proteins and producing clear, accurate legal analysis.</li>

General understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption</li><li>

A leading eDiscovery technology and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC is looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Digital Forensic Analyst. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong interest in the legal and technology fields, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch service to our clients. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic industry. The ideal candidate is proactive with excellent communication skills, a problem solver, and consistently reliable. This position involves both domestic and international travel for on-site collection efforts. Additionally, this position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office presence at our primary office in Washington, DC, where our forensics lab and data center are located.<br>

<b>DUTIES OF THE POSITION:</b><ul><li>
Independently perform complex forensic data collections and analysis in both on-site and remote capacity</li><li>
Ability to consult with and coordinate directly with legal teams/client IT departments to establish and define project scope and forensic workflows</li><li>
Maintain forensic tools and technologies by staying informed on version updates and new options in the market</li><li>
Work closely with project management and other team members on completing complex projects in a fast pace, deadline driven environment</li><li>
Contribute to the development, documentation, and enhancement of procedures to meet discovery process requirements.
</li><li>Provide clients with accurate project estimates and identify areas for upselling to increase department revenue</li><li>
Assist leaderships&rsquo; vision through process improvement, innovation, leadership, and industry trends</li><li>
Consistently contribute and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring they are regularly reviewed, updated, and followed.</li><li>
Perform quality control checks on work product prior to delivering to the client</li><li>
Complete additional duties assigned by manager</li><li>
Provide guidance and training to junior forensic team members and other team members</li></ul>

<b>EXPERIENCE &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:</b><ul><li>
Minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably in Digital Forensic Science or Computer Science/Engineering</li><li>
6+ years of relevant experience in where the analyst understands the forensic lifecycle and can properly perform scoping activities, evidence acquisitions on a range of devices, and execute forensic analysis at an expert level</li><li>
Experience using industry standard forensic tools such as Axiom, EnCase, Cellebrite, FTK Imager, Digital Collector</li><li>
General understanding of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption</li><li>
Experience preserving desktops, laptops, mobile devices/tablets, servers, both cloud and on-premise email implementations, nontraditional cloud data sources, social media, etc. in a forensically sound manner</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully in both verbally and in written format to team members and technical/non-technical clients</li><li>
Ability to work extended hours when necessary to ensure client deadlines are met</li><li>
Must be willing to travel regularly on short notice; must have valid passport for occasional international travel</li><li>
Must be an energetic self-starter who can work within a team environment but also independently as the situation requires</li><li>
Ability to document forensic workflows based on sound industry practice</li><li>
Willingness to develop/train other team members to increase the group&rsquo;s overall knowledge base as well as cultivate secondary resources to assist in larger collection events</li><li>
Understanding of the electronic discovery reference model (EDRM)</li><li>
Ability to submit time entries on a regular basis to meet performance metrics</li><li>
Strong troubleshooting skills coupled with the ability to solution on the fly to solve complex problems</li></ul>

<b>THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:</b><ul><li>
Possess at least one industry standard certification (EnCE, CCE, CCFE, GCFE, GCFA, CCO, CCPA, CCME, etc.) and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.</li><li>
 Extensive knowledge of litigation support applications (e.g. Relativity, Nuix, Google Workspace including Vault, Microsoft 365 including Purview, etc.)</li><li>
Experience working with structured data exported from various platforms including analysis, custom scripting, and data manipulation to develop reports for client use</li><li>
Experience with scripting, programming/coding, database languages (SQL, VB, HTML, Access)</li></ul><br>

COMPENSATION</b>: Competitive salary starting at $100,000 with the potential for higher compensation based on experience, qualifications, and skills.<br>
