Essential Duties:
<ul><li>Prepares and executes business development action plans for specific customer/market targets based on Service Projects priorities.</li><li>
Develops business objectives and their strategies to support overall Business Unit revenue goals in an assigned market segment or specific customer(s).</li><li>
Manages the development of Service Project estimates, proposals and presentations and leads the presentation to specified clients and customers.</li><li>
Communicates the outcome of presentations and relays the specifics of client expectations and other considerations that will influence/impact project performance.</li><li>
Performs and manages industry/market segment research to identify potential opportunities, and prioritize relationship building/business efforts.</li><li>
Meets with the client/owner to provide advice and planning on new projects to ensure the project gets off to a good start. Serves as subject matter expert for mechanical/plumbing system selections.</li><li>
Creates accurate conceptual budgets based off minimal information in real time.</li><li>
Leads the sales process through the procurement stage.</li><li>
Partners with architects and engineers to guide and/or lead the design effort.</li><li>
May participate in business plan/strategic planning sessions for the Business Unit.</li><li>
Acts on input to continuously improve by perfecting existing processes and implementing new ones.</li><li>
Actively participates in industry associations and seeks leadership roles.</li><li>
Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.</li><li>
Responsible for estimating new projects, change-order request and purchasing / buyout of equipment</li><li>
Performs other duties as required.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience as a Business Development Manager within the HVAC industry.</li><li>
Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.</li><li>
Advanced market knowledge.</li><li>
Time management and planning skills</li><li>
Ability to build customer/client rapport.</li><li>
Understands financial models used in fixed price, cost plus and unit rate/price contracting.</li></ul></div>
