The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee&rsquo;s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $200,000-$230,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.

Summary:</div><div>
As a Junior Product &amp; Visual Designer, you&rsquo;ll play a key role in shaping how students and educators interact with our learning platform, coding applications and the user experience of our drone. You will be working with an interdisciplinary team of designers, engineers, software developers, educators, marketers and salespeople in creating solutions for our educators and students. This newly created position is based in our Chicago office and will be instrumental in establishing and growing our Creative team.</div><div></div><div> 
Key Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Design thoughtful user-centered interfaces for our lesson portal, coding platform, drone dashboard and unboxing experience.</li><li>
Create fully developed designs that can be handed off to Software and Web teams for implementation and collaboration along the way to create design solutions.</li><li>
Illustrate in-lesson diagrams and visuals for explaining concepts.</li><li>
Conduct user testing with teachers and students to collect feedback to integrate and iterate on our products.</li><li>
Collaborate with Engineering and Education teams to develop user-centered design solutions.</li><li>
Occasionally support print materials for packaging and Sales or Marketing purposes.</li></ul><div></div><div> 
Requirements:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent work experience.</li><li>
Minimum of 1 year of experience in UI/UX design for the web.</li><li>
Fluent in Figma and the Adobe suite, especially Illustrator and Adobe.</li><li>
Passionate about creating products that help students engage with learning.</li><li>
Experience with conducting user testing both in-person and online.</li><li>
Ability to work well with diverse teams across multiple departments.
</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Be able to establish good working relationships and collaborate with coworkers throughout multiple remote locations.</li><li>

 What You'll Do

 Collaborate: You&rsquo;ll be joining a small-but-mighty team of graphic designers, illustrators, and animators. As an in-house designer, you will tackle requests from every part of the company and ensure that Hallow&rsquo;s brand is best represented everywhere it&rsquo;s seen.

 Design: You will create motion-based designs for marketing assets for commercials, social media, and trailers for major content launches. Experience in Figma and Adobe Suite (especially After Effects) is a must. 3D knowledge is a big bonus.

 Adaptable: Expect to be thrown into new projects without a perfect brief. Sometimes, you will be the one building the brief and leading the charge. We&rsquo;re looking for a creative and curious mind who is willing to troubleshoot and test concepts quickly.
