</li><li>Maintain and update technical and clinical skills related to nursing practice.
</li><li>Employ strategies to promote patients&rsquo; health and a safe environment.
</li><li>Understand different diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations.
</li><li>Perform essential life support as per regulatory requirements and scope such as but not limited to Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation etc.
</li><li>Prepare patients for medical examination and treatment.
</li><li>Administer medications and monitor patients for any side effects and reactions.
</li><li>Administer treatments such as IV fluids or blood products and monitor patients for any reactions.
</li><li>Provide wound care management.
</li><li>Assist in medical procedures invasive or non-invasive as needed.
</li><li>Facilitate the process of safe patient`s admission, transfer and discharge.
</li><li>Competent with all the mandatory and unit specific competencies supported and assigned on Elsevier platform to ensure adherence to evidence Based practices.
</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in emergency procedures, equipment, and protocols relevant to the department.
</li><li>Participate in ongoing programs and certification to support professional growth and maintain clinical competency.
</li><li>Comply with unit Scope of service.
</li><li>Conduct continuous and detailed monitoring of vital signs, hemodynamics, and oxygenation.
</li><li>Perform frequent and thorough patient assessments to detect subtle changes in condition.
</li><li>Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ventilators, and other advanced equipment.
</li><li>Administer high alert medications (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives, and inotropes).
</li><li>Manage advanced airway devices, such as ventilators, tracheostomies, ICD and endotracheal tubes.
</li><li>Perform procedures like arterial blood sampling ,insertion of IV Cannula and assisting with central line insertion, PICC line insertion, assisting thoracentesis and paracentesis
</li><li>Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members that includes intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, speech therapist, physiotherapist and specialists.
</li><li>Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds to discuss care plans and goals.
</li><li>Recognize and respond promptly to code situations (e.g., Code Blue).
</li><li>Use BLS, ACLS and PALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and other emergency protocols when necessary.
</li><li>Educate patients and families about their condition and care plans.
</li><li>Provide emotional support and guidance during critical situations.
</li><li>Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record)and physical flow charts
</li><li>Communicate updates and changes to the healthcare team effectively.
</li><li>Support patients and families through difficult decisions, including palliative care, End of life care discussions.
</li><li>Provide compassionate care in end-of-life situations.
</li><li>Be proficient in managing Hemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
</li><li>Maintain required certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS
</li><li>Maintaining Unit specific and General nursing Competencies by Elsevier

</b></p><ul><li><p>Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife, contribute to the overall planning and delivery of nursing/midwifery care for patients ensuring a patient cantered approach to care.
