Role Description

Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) seeks a Communications Consultant &ndash; Media &amp; Publications to serve as a parental leave cover for the organization&rsquo;s Communications Director. This temporary consultancy is planned for 22 total weeks across two intermittent periods: Eight weeks (estimated for mid-January until mid-March 2026) later followed by 14 weeks (estimated for late May-end August 2026). During the 22 total weeks, the consultant will serve for 40-hours per week (9am-5pm U.S. Eastern, M-F).

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Consultant &ndash; Media &amp; Publications will develop and execute communications strategies that advance PHR&rsquo;s mission and brand. The consultant will lead PHR&rsquo;s communications efforts to elevate the organization&rsquo;s project, priorities, and people with global audiences, with a focus on PHR&rsquo;s media relations and publications portfolio.

The Communications Consultant &ndash; Media &amp; Publications will lead cross-departmental communications in support of PHR&rsquo;s advocacy, research, network-building, and fundraising. They will execute PHR&rsquo;s media, publications, and other communications efforts, while collaborating with PHR colleagues responsible for the organization&rsquo;s digital, social, and email portfolio. <li>Manage publishing videos to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages.</li>
<li>Work directly with the Social Content team to establish video strategy across social channels.</li>
<li>Develop and pitch video concepts that drive the brand forward creatively.</li>
<li>Ensure project goals are met; manage stakeholder needs and expectations.</li>
<li>Analyze video performance data to help inform decisions around future content series.</li>
<li>Consult with teams across CCB to provide guidance on videos for conferences, recruiting, senior leader meetings, etc.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>5-7 years of experience creating compelling video content in a similar role (e.g. news, television, agency, corporate environment).</li>
<li>Strong production skills including DSLR videography, audio recording and knowledge of various lighting techniques.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition required; Animate, Character Animator, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus.</li>
<li>Proven track record managing the video production process through the development and ideation, pre-production, production, post-production, and promotion/distribution phases.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of video formats and best practices for web and digital applications.</li>
<li>Knowledge of copyright clearance, trademark, intellectual property licensing and fair use.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Requirements:
<ul>
<li>MacBook with Adobe Creative Suite.</li>
<li>Animation, storyboarding, and still photography expertise is a plus.</li>
<li>Technology or financial services experience is a plus.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Media Communications or similar discipline preferred.</li>
</ul>

The Senior Generative &amp; Multimedia Video Editor/Animator will report to the Head of Production and support the creation of digital content. CVS Health&rsquo;s internal ad agency, Heart Haus, creates captivating content for a wide range of platforms. The Video Editor &amp; 2D Animator will execute the vision of our creative teams through video editing and motion graphics. The right candidate will have high standards in quality and visual storytelling, and the ability to execute ideas from marketing materials and social content to corporate communications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Create high quality videos across a wide range of platforms including, but not limited to, marketing materials, social content, and corporate communications.</li><li>
Animate 2D motion graphics to brand standards, illustrating ideas effectively.</li><li>
Leverage AI tools to support creative storytelling and enhance workflow efficiency.</li><li>
At your heart, you are a storyteller and bring that viewpoint to every project in service to the brand.</li><li>
Knowledge of social platform trends and emerging video technologies.</li><li>
Color grading and audio mix to brand guidelines and delivery specs.</li><li>
Collaborate with the production and creative departments and address necessary direction and feedback from all stakeholders.</li><li>
Manage multiple projects while also meeting project deadlines.</li><li>
Maintain project archives and media assets.</li><li>
Strong team player with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.</li><li>

Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
7+ years of related industry experience (creative agency, digital marketing or post production house)</li><li>
7+ years of hands-on creation of engaging video content for marketing, social media and other platforms</li><li>
High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including: After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop.</li><li>
Proficiency with creating motion graphics in 2D</li><li>
Experience with emerging AI tools, such as Firefly, VO3 and Runway</li><li>
Fluent in social media trends and the landscape in general.</li><li>
Proven design experience for social media and all digital platforms, including; Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Web</li><li>
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and the deadline-oriented environment</li></ul>

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $199,144.00 
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company&rsquo;s equity award program.
