In this role, you will:
<ul><li>Work closely with architects, software engineers and product owners to translate complex functional and non-functional requirements, and provide early feedback on risks in design and delivery.
</li><li>Own a concise test strategy for your initiative, covering functional, automation, non-functional and environment/data needs, aligned to the wider Test Like Ops approach.
</li><li>Prioritise testing by business impact and operational risk, focusing effort on the user journeys and failure paths that hurt the operation most.
</li><li>Build, maintain and adapt automation frameworks and harnesses, integrated into CI/CD for fast, reliable feedback.
</li><li>Push for production-like environments and realistic test data &mdash; including service virtualisation or stubbing where dependencies are unstable or vendor-controlled.
</li><li>Hold vendor-delivered solutions to defined entry/exit and acceptance criteria, demanding operationally meaningful evidence of readiness.

</h5> 
To be considered for the role, you must meet the requirements below:
<ul><li>Information Technology Degree or Honours or equivalent Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
</li><li>5+ years in quality engineering, including recent experience assuring operationally critical or 24/7 systems where downtime carries real business impact.
</li><li>Experience in Software Quality Engineering or equivalent, looking after multiple products or an end-to-end initiative.
</li><li>Extensive hands-on experience developing UI and API automation frameworks, proficient in at least two languages (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript) with strong coding practices.
</li><li>Practical experience with automation tooling (e.g. Selenium/WebDriver, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit/TestNG) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps or equivalent).
</li><li>Demonstrable non-functional testing depth &mdash; performance, resilience, failover/recovery and observability &mdash; treated as part of release confidence.
