Checkout.com is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team here in Dubai! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to our clients in the MENA region, throughout the entire sales lifecycle. As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for technical ownership of client relationships from initial contact in the sales cycle throughout the solutioning, integration, and go-live stages of the customer journey. The ability to solve business and technical requirements through the application of Checkout.com products and solutions is core to the success of the position. Along the way, you'll collaborate closely with various in-house talents across Technology and Business to position our capabilities, products, services and solutions effectively with prospects.</p><p></p><p><b>

Upfront qualifications of merchants technical needs</p></li><li><p>
Work with Sales to provide product/business/tech knowledge in support of pre-sales activities</p></li><li><p>
Prepare and lead technical/commercial workshops</p></li><li><p>
Provide inputs for proposals and large and complex RFP and RFI responses</p></li><li><p>
Improve solution design, documentation and realisation of custom merchant solutions</p></li><li><p>
Improve communication with merchants on a technical level during the sales process</p></li><li><p>
Translate product, business and technical requirements into solutions</p></li><li><p>
Being constantly up to date with industry standards in order to offer the best bespoke solutions to our merchantsConduct thorough upfront qualification of merchant needs and technical infrastructure.</p></li><li><p>
Act as the primary technical subject matter expert, supporting the Sales team through all pre-sales phases.</p></li><li><p>
Design, prepare, and lead technical and commercial workshops for prospective merchants.</p></li><li><p>
Provide critical technical and solution design inputs for high-value proposals and RFP/RFI responses.</p></li><li><p>
Drive the improvement of solution design quality and documentation for complex solutions.</p></li><li><p>
Significantly improve the quality and clarity of technical communication with merchants.</p></li><li><p>
Expertly translate requirements into concrete, viable, and efficient solution designs.</p></li><li><p>

Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>
8+ years experience as a Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect or Pre-Sales Consultant</p></li><li><p>
Experience working in a technical client-facing role</p></li><li><p>
Familiar with API based integration methods, associated best practices, and related tools/frameworks</p></li><li><p>
Experience with at least one common front-end (pure JavaScript, React, Angular, etc) and back-end (Java, .NET, Python, Node, etc) technology</p></li><li><p>
Commercially-minded</p></li><li><p>
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</p></li><li><p>
Highly organized and able to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively</p></li><li><p>
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>
Ability to translate technical jargon into business speak</p></li><li><p>
Previous exposure to RFI/RFP</p></li><li><p>
