Al Taweelah Port Operations

Day-to-Day Operations

<li>Ensures that raw material distribution is followed in conjunction with the Senior Manager, according to the supply strategy by monitoring the quality of raw materials to ensure the product quality is met by the customer&rsquo;s requirement (Reduction, Carbon Plant, Power plant and ATA operations)</li>
<li>Ensures the safe operation &amp; maintenance of:</li>
<li>Alumina/Coke Ship unloading operation, storage and delivery to Smelter.</li>
<li>Tanker loading/unloading operation</li>
<li>Bauxite ship unloading operation and delivery to ATA Refinery.</li>
<li>Caustic Soda ship unloading operation and storage.</li>

<li>Assists in conducting risk management studies based on all standard operation procedures.</li>
<li>Monitor the emissions and spills of Alumina, Coke, Bauxite and Caustic and take appropriate actions to ensure that equipment / systems are operated in environmentally friendly manners and as per EHS standards without affecting neighbouring companies.</li>
<li>Ensures effective boreholes sampling are taken from the surrounding of caustic storage bladder to avoid soil and sea water contamination.</li>
<li>Follow the quality standards of ISO certification and prepare for regular auditing by internal or external auditors, including certification bodies for implementation of ISO standards across EGA.</li>

The successful candidate will assist with sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, maintaining records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.  Job Purpose:
 
 
 
 The Supervisor Land Freight is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of land freight within the logistics cluster. This role ensures efficient utilization of trucks, timely delivery of goods, and maintains strong client relationships while upholding high standards of safety and compliance.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities

 Arrange day-to-day operations and monitor truck utilization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify packing lists and coordinate the required number and type of vehicles, executing tasks with the team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all fleet requirements from clients and coordinators are met promptly and efficiently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Arrange necessary trucks, manpower, and equipment before loading shipments, ensuring safe cargo handling.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage outsourced trucks and oversee their operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Issue delivery notes and ensure timely, accurate submission and job closure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Submit all required documents (e.g., port delivery notes, payment receipts) after shipment delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain strong client relationships, providing necessary documents and reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain performance metrics, work schedules, and monitor delivery timelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to customer follow-ups, address delivery efficiency, and handle justified complaints.

 Qualifications

 Work experience required: 5 -6 years working experience in logistics or supply chain

 Ability to work flexible hours and in shifts required.
