Job Title: Wood Factory SupervisorLocation: kuwait Department: Production / Manufacturing Reports To: Plant Manager / Operations ManagerPosition OverviewThe Wood Factory Supervisor oversees daily operations within a wood processing facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role coordinates a team of machine operators, assemblers, and support staff, manages workflow, monitors equipment, and implements continuous‑improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesAreaPrimary DutiesProduction Management Plan, schedule, and prioritize daily work orders to meet output goals. Monitor line performance, adjust staffing or equipment allocation as needed. Ensure all products meet dimensional, finish, and structural specifications.Team Leadership Supervise, coach, and evaluate a crew of 10‑30 employees (operators, technicians, helpers). Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and resolve conflicts promptly. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.Quality Assurance Perform routine inspections of raw material, in‑process parts, and finished goods. Coordinate corrective actions for non‑conforming items and track defect trends. Work with QA/QC personnel to maintain certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).Safety &amp; Compliance Enforce OSHA‑compliant safety protocols and proper use of PPE. Lead incident investigations, complete root‑cause analyses, and implement preventive measures. Keep records of safety trainings, equipment inspections, and regulatory filings.Equipment &amp; Maintenance Oversee operation of saws, planers, CNC routers, sanders, presses, and related machinery. Schedule routine maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and liaise with the maintenance team. Track machine utilization and suggest upgrades or process improvements.Inventory &amp; Materials Manage inbound lumber, veneers, adhesives, and consumables to prevent shortages or excess. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile with ERP/MRP system. Optimize material flow to reduce waste and improve yield.Continuous Improvement Identify bottlenecks, propose lean manufacturing techniques . Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap rate, labor productivity. Participate in cross‑functional teams to drive cost‑saving projects.Reporting &amp; Documentation Prepare shift reports covering production volume, downtime, safety incidents, and quality issues. Update work orders, logbooks, and digital dashboards accurately.
