Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, VAT compliance, audit coordination, and maintaining internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage and reconcile bank accounts and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and file accurate VAT returns.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor and enhance internal controls and financial procedures.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, Zoho).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Maintenance or construction company as Senior Accountant.
• Knowledge of UAE labor laws and WPS system.
• Fluency in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
