Senior Accounts Payable Analyst

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to support high-volume, multi-entity AP operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the operational cadence of hospitality, including vendor relationships, expense controls, and timely payment execution.

Position Overview

The Senior AP Analyst will oversee full-cycle accounts payable functions including invoice processing, payment execution, T&E review, and vendor management. This role partners closely with operations, procurement, and finance leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.

Invoice & Payment Processing

• Process high-volume vendor invoices with 3-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice)
• Review coding accuracy and ensure proper GL allocations
• Manage weekly check runs, ACH, wires, and credit card payments
• Maintain strict adherence to payment terms and optimize cash flow timing

T&E Administration

• Review and process employee travel & expense reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and IRS guidelines
• Identify discrepancies, policy violations, and duplicate submissions

Vendor Management

• Maintain and update vendor master files, including W-9 collection and 1099 tracking
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
• Support vendor onboarding and compliance documentation

Controls & Reporting

• Assist with month-end close including AP accruals and reconciliations
• Support audit requests (internal and external)
• Monitor aging reports and recommend process improvements
• Strengthen internal controls and workflow efficiencies

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• Strong understanding of full-cycle AP and internal controls
• Associates degree+ required
• Experience with T&E platforms and automated AP systems
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)
• Ability to manage high transaction volume across multiple properties or entities
• Strong communication skills and vendor-facing professionalism
