Ahya is looking for a Senior Associate, People & Culture to lead key people functions across hiring, onboarding, people operations, performance management, and culture development.
This role is central to building a strong, structured, and high-performing workplace. The successful candidate will help attract the right talent, ensure smooth employee integration, maintain effective people processes, and strengthen a culture that aligns with Ahya’s values, governance standards, and operating model.
Given Ahya’s AI-driven and climate-tech environment, this role is best suited for someone with prior experience in technology-led or venture-backed organisations, where hiring needs are specialised, roles evolve quickly, and close collaboration with product, technology, and leadership teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Lead talent sourcing and recruitment in line with approved headcount and workforce plans
- Manage the full hiring cycle, including role scoping, sourcing, interviews, selection, offers, and onboarding coordination
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Ensure hiring decisions are aligned with budgets, approval matrices, and documentation requirements
- Assess both technical and cultural fit during the hiring process
Onboarding and Orientation
- Manage structured onboarding for all new hires from Day 1
- Deliver orientation sessions covering culture, values, policies, performance expectations, and governance
- Coordinate onboarding with HR, IT, Admin, and reporting managers
- Ensure all onboarding records and confirmations are completed and maintained in line with ISO 27001:2022 and the Information Security Framework
Culture and Employee Engagement
- Support and reinforce Ahya’s culture and values across teams
- Design and implement employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
- Encourage ethical conduct, collaboration, and professional behaviour
- Support employee feedback processes and engagement reviews
Performance Management
- Administer KPI-based performance management processes
- Support goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback cycles
- Maintain appraisal, promotion, and increment documentation
- Monitor performance and retention trends and highlight risks where needed
People Operations and Governance
- Manage employee lifecycle processes including confirmations, transfers, role changes, and exits
- Maintain HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and related documentation
- Ensure compliance with approval workflows, confidentiality requirements, and record retention standards
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR trackers
Offboarding and Exit Management
- Execute structured offboarding processes, including clearances and exit documentation
- Conduct exit interviews and analyse themes and trends
- Ensure employee exits are completed on time and in compliance with company procedures
Compliance, Reporting, and Coordination
- Maintain People & Culture records in an audit-ready state
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and management summaries
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, IT, and Operations on employee-related matters
- Support internal HR communication and documentation needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in hiring, people operations, onboarding, and performance management
- Experience working in structured, policy-driven organisations
- Prior experience in a technology-led or venture-backed company is strongly preferred
- Strong judgement and discretion in handling sensitive people matters
