Job Title: Senior Barista

Department: Food & Beverage / Café Operations
Reports To: Café Supervisor / Outlet Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, leading the barista team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role includes training junior baristas, maintaining café standards, and supporting smooth daily operations while promoting a strong coffee culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, teas, and other beverages to the highest standards.
• Lead, supervise, and support the barista team during daily operations.
• Train and mentor new baristas on coffee preparation, latte art, customer service, and hygiene practices.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and café supplies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service, handle feedback, and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Support café promotions, upselling, and customer engagement activities.
• Ensure adherence to HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Assist management with staff scheduling and operational improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 3–4 years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, latte art, and café operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of stock control and POS systems.
• Passion for coffee culture and continuous learning.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
