Senior Bookkeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of account-general ledger, receivable/payable, cash, sales, and payroll
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries; i.e., Payroll, W/C, Liability Insurance, etc; prepare accounts payable vouchers and cash disbursements; prepare cash projections and monitor and report variations from projections promptly
• Prepare and process monthly Social Security reports; Prepare and process monthly (pre-payments) and quarterly sales tax returns
• Enter accounting data into the computer to consolidate into the general ledger; Inventory tracking for all departments; Monitor purchases for each department
• Process monthly Client billing and submit to funding agencies

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year experience in a previous bookkeeping/accounting position
• Must be proficient in Payroll Systems, QuickBooks and Excel
• Must have previous experience processing payroll
• Experience with Paychex is preferred, but not required
• Advanced computer/technology skills and knowledge
• Driving is an essential function of this position

Compensation

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $29.00 per hour, DOE.
