Reports to: Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Administration


Purpose:

The job holder is responsible for overseeing the editorial, writing, and management of all content related to the Onsi Sawiris School of Business, including Business Forward, the school's online portal, school website, media articles, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and annual reports. The role aims to showcase the school's body of knowledge and reinforce its position as a leading business knowledge hub. He or She will be responsible for researching, coordinating, and curating content, managing a team of writers, designers, and social media specialists, as well as providing editorial quality control and liaising with business and knowledge partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Administer the day-to-day operations of the school’s digital assets, Business Forward knowledge portal, and other content platforms
  • Generate story ideas, plan, assign, and edit content, and oversee production schedules and editorial calendars
  • Supervise editorial staff and freelancers
  • Develop, expand, and oversee the school’s social media presence
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Work with Business Forward editorial board and school of business unit heads to determine content for the portal, publications, and other platforms
  • Write, curate, and solicit feature stories from various stakeholders
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency in style, quality, and tone
  • Coordinate with designs and media specialists on artwork and multimedia content
  • Ensure consistency of look and feel across all content platforms
  • Manage and mentor the content specialist team
  • Organize and oversee Business Forward annual event and competition


Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication or writing-related field is required
  • Master’s degree is a plus


Experience:

  • A minimum of eight to ten years of related previous experience, with at least two to three years in an editorial position


Skills:

  • Strong managerial and coordination skills
  • Excellent English proficiency, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated writing expertise, as evidenced by a relevant writing sample submitted with the application
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to high standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in content management, social media, and data analytics
  • Experience in organizing and overseeing annual events and competitions
  • Able to handle a heavy workload and work under pressure
