Senior Legal Manager

Position: Legal Manager / Senior Legal Associate (In-House)

Experience: 5–7 years PQE (Litigation + Transactional exposure preferred)

Reporting To: Managing Director / Designated Senior Management Role

Objective:

Act as the principal in-house legal resource responsible for overseeing all legal matters of the Company, coordinating with external counsels, advising management on legal risk and strategy, and ensuring that litigation and transactional matters are managed in a timely, structured and commercially aligned manner. The role is strategic and supervisory in nature and does not involve court appearances.

Key Responsibilities:

● Act as the primary legal interface between the Company’s management, business heads and external counsels

● Oversee and supervise all litigation matters across jurisdictions (Delhi, Noida, Allahabad, Lucknow, etc.)

● Prepare concise strategy notes and legal summaries for senior management highlighting: ○ Status of matters

○ Risk exposure

○ Possible outcomes and next steps

● Identify and escalate adverse legal developments, including unfavourable orders, urgent compliance requirements and limitation-sensitive actions

● Coordinate with external counsels to: ○ Obtain timely hearing updates and orders ○ Discuss legal strategy, appeals and interim reliefs ○ Monitor performance and responsiveness

● Review and approve internal legal notes, draft notices and representations prepared by the legal team

● Support business teams on legal aspects of real estate, land, AIF and distressed asset transactions

● Ensure implementation of SOPs and maintenance of legal databases and records

Key Skills & Competencies:

● Strong understanding of litigation lifecycle and court processes

● Exposure to real estate, land disputes, IBC, regulatory and commercial matters

● Ability to translate legal issues into business and financial impact

● Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills

● Strategic thinking with attention to timelines and risk
