Job overview


To manage the department responsible for Investor Relations management, ensuring that all Ooredoo Group shareholders are kept informed about all Group activities in a timely and effective manner.

Your impact on our goals

  • Lead relationship with sell side analysts and brokerage research teams and be focal point for all ORDS related inquiries

  • Communication with top shareholders as well as prospective investors and effectively address all questions / concerns to maintain Ooredoo Group profile within the market

  • Manage Quarterly results process including identification of key issues and potential investor questions/ develop messaging, draft investor slides (including data links from Finance systems (Cognos/SAP), script writing for MD and GCFO, KPI selection and key Q&A for Q results call, follow up with buy and sell side on any open issues

  • Develop & implement digital IR strategy (paperless information internal, IR app and use social media externally

  • Organize Capital Market Days (draft equity story development, agenda, trial runs and training of spokespersons, preparation of corporate presentations, alignment of key messages, preparation of Q&A, logistics of event, feedback external/internal)

  • Updating senior management on performance of Ooredoo shares and market developments along with the peers' performance

  • Lead investor meetings in Qatar and at international conferences and NDR roadshows on all relevant investor topics and markets

  • Conduct analysis of investor base, track changes on monthly basis, actively contact most active trading investors and keep management informed

  • Manage consensus for sell side analysts

  • Maintain strong relationship with local stock markets (QE, ADX) and Opcos if required

  • Contact point for ESG (Environmental/Social/Governance) analysts

  • Preparation of ESG report and development of ESG strategy in cooperation with advisory banks, all OG departments and Opcos

  • Manage development of the Company Annual Report in conjunction with all BU Heads and co-ordinate its production and distribution.

  • Keeps shareholders knowledgeable about the company (and implicitly encourages them to buy and hold).

  • Acts as a focal point for Ooredoo Group shareholders to facilitate exchange of information.

  • Manage relationship with rating agencies, document interactions/ meeting minutes, flag potential issues to management

  • Represent the organisation in the Annual General Assembly meetings

  • Preparation of press releases/ Input in investor messaging process

  • Coordinate the release of quarterly earnings and ensure timely disclosure to primary information providers.

  • Responsible for disseminating company price sensitive disclosures to primary information providers such as stock exchanges and analysts who have initiated coverage on company stock.

  • Manage the investor relations portal for Ooredoo Group, actively suggest added content and format.

  • Work closely with Communications and Marketing departments to track systematically and analyse competitor activity and third-party commentary, identifying communications, opportunities, and gathering supporting evidence.

  • Interact with all OpCo's to obtain relevant investor, market, and performance information.

  • Drive IR social media program (develop concepts to increase followers, use new media)

  • Support special projects like: Group wide projects, operating company corporate action and IPOs, debt capital market activity

  • Manage the development of the appropriate materials (PowerPoint presentations, hand-outs, reports, press releases etc.) for presentations to the financial community, senior management and other internal and external audiences.

  • Prepare annual IR budget, track payment of invoices

  • Undertakes analysis of:

  • competitor and peer-group analyses; shareholder and bond holder identification

  • Analyse competitors' business models to assess the company's position relative to competitors in the mobile telephony and communication market (domestic and international)

  • Industry analysts reports - and summarise the outcomes/learning's

  • Inputs into the overall Investor Relations Strategy and implementation plan in line with company requirements and supports the development of and inputs into Group IR annual budget

  • Scope, oversee and supervise deliverables from external supporting agencies, such as financial PR agency and other service providers who provide content and or data to the Investor Relations team

  • Prepare shareholder list monthly (using Miraqle database) present to management and contact top buyers and sellers

  • Prepare additional job-related ad-hoc reports, presentations and analyses as requested by management

Experience

  • 10 years total experience preferably related to the responsibilities within an Investor Management or Strategy department

  • At least 3 years previous successful experience at Senior Manager level of Investor Relations or in a related role

  • Experience at a major telecommunications company

  • Previous international experience, preferably in the GCC and MENA regions

  • Knowledge of international investor disclosure requirements

  • A clear and thorough understanding of the financial modelling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock.

  • An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets, with established relationships in them, and the ability to establish new relationships in new industries quickly.

  • An in-depth understanding of strategic communication, public relations and the media
