Job Purpose

To define and oversee the operational processes and infrastructure design of the UAE ports expansion areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable operations. The role will make sure operational model, and processes are aligned with construction design and plan, as well as to ensure full operational readiness of assets in timelines set.

Core Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into operational model and workflows.
• Coordinate infrastructure design validation with all engineering and operational requirements.
• Develop operational readiness plans and commissioning procedures.
• Detail out masterplan, yard and berth layouts, cargo flows, equipment requirements, systems and automation needs.
• Align operating procedures with international port efficiency standards.
• Lead pre-operational simulations and modelling exercises.
• Develop terminal standard operating procedures for each cargo type and each location (SOPs).
• Integrate operational planning with IT and automation systems.
• Monitor and improve productivity metrics during transition phase.
• Support safety planning and emergency response integration.
• Maintain close contact with existing operational team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in Logistics, Maritime Operations, or Engineering. Masters preferred.
• High level of proficiency in English, Arabic is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years in terminal operations or design planning.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
