Senior Manager – UNIX | Infrastructure Operations

Systems Limited is looking for Lead and manage UNIX and Linux platform operations in a large-scale enterprise environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Oversee system upgrades, migrations, cloud initiatives, and 24x7 support while ensuring compliance with IT policies and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage UNIX/Linux platforms (Redhat, IBM AIX, HP-UX, Oracle Linux) across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Oversee OS installation, patching, upgrades, migrations, and hardware firmware updates .
• Manage virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure including VMware, OpenShift, IBM VIOS, Oracle Exadata, and Dell VxRail.
• Lead automation and scripting efforts for system tasks, monitoring, and certificate management.
• Ensure system performance, capacity planning, and tuning for enterprise infrastructure.
• Implement security baselines, hardening, and vulnerability management in line with ITIL and corporate standards.
• Provide 24x7 incident, problem, and change management , ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
• Support projects, server builds, application deployments, and cloud portal management .
• Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams for operational efficiency.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge sharing , and ensure disaster recovery and backup compliance .

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux platform support in large-scale environments.
• Expertise in on-prem and cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and hyper-converged systems .
• Strong skills in automation, shell scripting, and system integration .
• Experience with security compliance, ITIL processes, and enterprise upgrades/migrations .
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills .
