Senior MEP QA/QC Engineer

Role Objective

We are looking for a meticulous Senior MEP QA/QC Engineer to oversee and implement quality control procedures across all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works. You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet the project specifications, approved drawings, and international/local regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Documentation: Develop and manage Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Control Procedures.
  • Site Inspections: Lead internal inspections and coordinate with the Consultant for Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify site non-conformities, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Material Compliance: Verify that all MEP materials delivered to the site match the approved submittals and are stored according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Witness and document critical pressure tests, duct leakage tests, continuity tests, and final functional testing of MEP systems.
  • Audit Leadership: Conduct internal quality audits and assist in external ISO audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Technical Certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor certification is highly preferred.
  • Standards Knowledge: Deep familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, DEWA/ADDC (if in UAE), IPC, and NEC codes.
  • Documentation: Proven ability to handle massive handover packages, including O&M Manuals and As-Built drawings.
  • Soft Skills: Strong personality for enforcing quality standards on-site and excellent reporting skills.
