Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a dynamic Senior Procurement Relationship Manager with expertise in commercial contractual negotiations and contribute toward the interconnectedness of our business lines and enterprise. Responsible for leading teams including Procurement, Contract Analysts, Finance and Business Line representatives. Coordinates multiple business lines participation on shared projects. Identifies opportunities and develops new internal customer relationships. Provides procurement advice to customers. Incorporates appropriate procurement processes and services to internal customers.

Regularly interacts with business line leaders and subject matter experts providing recommendations and incorporating original thought and credible challenge. Support Business Lines with their vendor negotiations with existing or new smaller vendor relationships. Periodic work focused on identifying and assisting in the deliverance of cost savings, pricing negotiations, consolidation opportunities, demand management, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Negotiates to optimize client’s budget and other financial responsibilities

  • Performs sourcing and planning

  • Reviews business standards for vendor performance

  • Coordinates activities related to anticipating, negotiating, and executing the managed contracts

  • Assists with contractual negotiation activities to ensure quality and compliance with contract procedures and standards

  • Collaborates with business line clients to establish plans, standards, and procedures that will add value to strategic vendor relationships and mitigates any risks to the company

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years of experience in procurement contract activities

  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing leading practices, procurement, and contract negotiation and administration.

  • Ability to manage relationships with large, strategic vendors.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication with individuals and senior executives inside and outside the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong sales and collaborative team-building skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
