Job Description
- Oversee daily civil construction operations, ensuring all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Act as the central point of contact between consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily logs, weekly progress summaries, and monthly project performance reports, highlighting achievements, risks, and proposed corrective actions.
- Monitor project schedules, identify delays or deviations, and implement recovery plans to maintain adherence to contractual deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks to confirm compliance with QA/QC standards and industry best practices.
- Review and validate technical submittals, shop drawings, and material samples to ensure alignment with project requirements and design intent.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety among site teams.
- Assist in project cost control by monitoring material consumption, preparing interim payment applications, and supporting procurement and budgeting processes.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers, supervisors, and foremen to resolve construction challenges efficiently.
- Maintain proper site documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, RFIs, as-built records, and contractual correspondence.
- Participate in coordination and progress meetings, providing clear updates on site issues, risks, and technical resolutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through value engineering, resource optimization, and process efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10–12 years of proven experience in civil site supervision and project execution (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and scheduling software (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
- Strong technical knowledge of civil construction methodologies, QA/QC procedures, and regulatory authority requirements.
- Familiarity with contracts, project documentation, and approval processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- GCC work experience and a valid driving license are considered a strong advantage.
