Role Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of digital and technology projects within the company's IT Project Framework. The role ensures that projects are delivered to agreed scope, budget, and timeline while realising defined business benefits. This position requires strong governance discipline, digital solution delivery experience, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive the successful implementation of strategic technology change.

1. Project Delivery Leadership
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of digital projects from Idea through to Closing, in alignment with the company's Framework and IT governance standards.
- Define and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Maintain delivery discipline across all lifecycle checkpoints and Stage Gates.
2. Governance and Control
- Apply mandatory project controls, artefacts, and documentation in line with the company framework.
- Chair project-level governance forums, including Project Steering Committees (Steer Cos).
- Maintain RAID logs and ensure proactive risk and issue management.
- Present project progress, approvals, and readiness at Stage Gates and Steer Co meetings.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with business sponsors, product owners, and functional leads.
- Communicate progress, dependencies, and risks clearly to business and IT leadership.
- Coordinate across business units and partners to ensure alignment and delivery readiness.
4. Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project and resourcing plans, supported by a high-level Plan on a Page (POAP).
- Ensure all project artefacts (RAID log, Business Case, Change Requests, RTM, Communication Plan) are completed and maintained.
- Manage day-to-day delivery, quality assurance, and performance tracking of workstreams and vendors.
5. Change and Benefits Realisation
- Drive business readiness, training, and adoption of digital solutions.
- Collaborate with business leads to ensure smooth handover to Business-as-Usual (BAU).
- Conduct lessons learned and benefits realisation reviews post go-live.
6. Vendor and Partner Management
- Manage third-party partners and suppliers to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Monitor contract deliverables, costs, and service levels.
- Coordinate testing, cutover, and post-go-live support activities with external teams.
7. Team Engagement and Continuous Improvement
- Mentor Project Managers and Analysts in best practice project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the company's Delivery Framework and PMO standards.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the PMO and IT teams.

- Apply and uphold the company's Delivery Framework, maintaining required artefacts, documentation, and adherence to Stage Gate and SteerCo processes.
3. Risk and Issue Management
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) to ensure transparency and timely resolution across all project stages.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with business sponsors, IT leads, and delivery partners to ensure shared understanding, buy-in, and decision-making support.
5. Quality and Benefits Realisation
- Ensure that project outputs deliver tangible business value, including adoption of new digital capabilities, measurable benefits, and successful transition to Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.
6. Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Provide accurate, timely, and transparent project reporting through ServiceNow SPM and governance channels, supporting data-driven decisions and portfolio oversight.
Qualifications:
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or equivalent certification.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Business, IT, or related field.
- Over 8 years’ proven experience delivering complex projects across large enterprise organisations.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
- Proven track record managing divestment, separation, or carve-out projects, ensuring continuity of business operations and technology services during transition.
- Significant experience leading complex digital or IT projects in enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of Project Frameworks, including Stage Gates, RAID, governance forums, and artefact management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior business and IT levels.
- Experience managing budgets, third-party suppliers, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Experience of digital transformation, cloud, application, or infrastructure delivery.
- Advanced planning and analytical skills, with a focus on delivery assurance and problem-solving.
- Extensive experience leading complex digital or IT projects in enterprise environments.
