Senior Purchase Officer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Purchase Officer to lead procurement activities for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of building materials, supplier networks, and construction industry practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement to support our ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
• Develop and maintain a reliable network of vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Review and manage purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation.
• Monitor market trends for cost fluctuations in construction materials.
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and the finance team to align procurement with project budgets and timelines.
• Provide leadership and support to junior purchasing staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
