Position Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer with strong expertise in designing and maintaining scalable server-side APIs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern Python frameworks, relational databases, and best practices in API development, testing, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to define API requirements and integrations.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code following industry best practices.
• Optimize backend performance, ensure scalability, and implement caching strategies.
• Manage and maintain relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Ensure API security through authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in backend development using Python.
• Strong experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework.
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Familiarity with API testing, performance optimization, and versioning best practices.
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD integration.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
