Role Overview:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Muscat, Oman. The role involves overseeing cost management, preparing and maintaining Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and ensuring effective cost planning and reporting. The Senior QS will monitor budgets, conduct feasibility analyses, and collaborate with project teams to optimize cost control and expenditure efficiency.

Key Qualifications:

• Immediate joiners only / candidates available to join immediately will be preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related construction field
• 5–10+ years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably in Oman or the Middle East
• Strong knowledge of regional construction laws, regulations, and procurement methods (e.g., GCC/UAE experience)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CostX, Candy (CCS), MS Excel or similar software
• Expertise in preparing, reviewing, and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, cost planning, and value engineering
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with ability to mentor junior surveyors

Responsibilities:

• Manage project cost control and budget monitoring
• Prepare and maintain BOQs and tender documents
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and variations
• Handle contractual claims, cost reporting, and payment certifications
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure efficient expenditure management
